While Zion can make an impression just by driving through, Bryce Canyon will ask you to exit the car before becoming instagram worthy. The canyon is approached from up top, therefore any ventures within will require some effort to climb out. Bryce is a land of contrasts with towering green ponderosa pines agains vibrant red and orange sandstone spires known as “hoodoos.” You are also likely to meet the most persuasive panhandlers you have ever encountered in the form of Golden Mantled Ground Squirrels. Despite what these critters tell you they don’t need your cheese puffs.
