Zion National Park offers the photographer many opportunities to explore color, texture, and light. From the valley floor to the highest plateau, the scenes change at every turn. Foliage on trails will make an excellent frame to your scenes. Sunrise and sunset present significant changes to lighting on the faces of canyon walls. There is plenty of wildlife (turkeys, deer, lizards, insects, squirrels and other birds) to view and the river through the park is spectacular throughout the day. When it rains you'll find an even more spectacular experience with waterfalls coming down over every rock face. Consider yourself blessed if it rains while you are in Zion.
